The NTU Choir teamed up with the London Philharmonic Orchestra to present a  musical extravaganza recently.  Along with West End Star Kerry Ellis they gave the audience at the Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham a Night in the West End.   Music and songs from shows like Les Miserables, Chess, Phantom of the Opera, We will Rock You, Oklahoma and many more filled the metaphoric rafters of the stunning auditorium.

The university hosted a reception before the concert for supporters and donors of the John van Geest Cancer Research  Centre and the evening marked the launch of the public fundraising phase for the Cracking the Cancer Code campaign.  We are looking to raise £23m over the next 5 years and this was one heck of a way to start.  The event raised around £12000 on the night and donations continue to come in.

It was a wonderful evening and I am looking forward to many more for this amazing institution.
