Here’s my first post!! This is of a project I worked on last academic year and really got me into the area that I explored in my second year too. I hope to continue exploring this idea of embalming for my third and final year at NTU.

A Romance of Fur Feather Claw and Beak is a photographic exploration into the relationship between contemporary photography and taxidermy within the museum space it inhabits. It is through the mimesis that I create in my work that the spectator is able to build a relationship between the depicted subject matter of my photographs enabling them to animate my images into viewing the taxidermy as a living representation in a state that they are embalmed within.
