Want to know more about using digital technology, but short of time? Then come along to the Organisational Development’s Summer Digital Taster Event!

Taster Menu

Choose from 4 half hour sessions, each of which will introduce you to a different digital topic: 

  • Presenting with Microsoft Sway
  • Introduction to PebblePad
  • Exploring
  • Communicating with Microsoft Yammer and Teams 


How does it work?

  • Each of the 4 Taster Menu options will run four times between to let you pick and mix sessions according to your interests and schedule. Come along to as many of the sessions as you want.
  • There will be a break in the middle for refreshments and computers available to let you practice some of what you’ve seen, with Organisational Development’s Digital Practice colleagues on hand to answer your questions.


Who is it for?

  • The Digital Taster event is for all NTU staff.  There’s something to suit everyone, no matter what your job role, level of knowledge or confidence.


What’s in it for me?

  • Fed up of PowerPoint? Find out how you can easily create an interesting presentation including images, links and quizzes using Microsoft Sway.
  • Get a first look at PebblePad, the e-portfolio tool available to use for your own development or for student activities.
  • Prefer to learn at your desk? Explore the vast array of courses on topics including IT, leadership & management you can access free of charge from
  • See how you could use Yammer to communicate with staff and students at NTU, and how Teams can help with communication and simple project planning.


How to book

Go to the Organisational Development programme of events to reserve a place on the a Summer Digital Taster Event.  (You don’t need to decide until the day which sessions you want to attend).

About the author

Elena is responsible for design and implementation of development initiatives and learning resources to support NTU staff in their use of university systems. Prior to joining NTU, Elena worked in the British Council supporting bidding for and implementation of international development and scholarship management programmes. She has extensive experience as a Learning and Development consultant, specialising in SAP, business process analysis and managing personal and professional development schemes.
