Office Tips & Tricks: 5 ways to use Yammer

Interested in using Yammer but not sure where to start?

Here are five ideas to get you started using Yammer whether it’s for learning, teaching or assessment, within a group or as an individual user:

  1. Ask for feedback: Tell people what you’re working on and ask for comments, suggestions and feedback.
  2. Find the right person: If you don’t know who to ask or how to find something out, try posting your query to All Company.  Hopefully someone who can help you will see your post and respond.
  3. Publicise event or meeting:  Advertise your event or meeting and post to relevant groups or All Company if appropriate.
  4. As an informal poll:  Post a question and quickly get responses.
  5. Recognising achievements: Yammer offers another way to publicise and celebrate achievements within the organisation. You can also post photos.
